Rick started his career in the entertainment business as a set lighting technician for film and television. After 10 years, he completed a training program in opticianry, started working for an ophthalmologist, and soon thereafter opened his own business, Optical Designs. Since the store first opened its doors, Rick has enjoyed finding the perfect pair of frames for each one of his customers.
 

Steven Colbert, Store Manager

Steven has been working with Rick at Optical Designs for over 25 years. Originally from New Jersey, Steven studied opticianry for two years before moving to Los Angeles. He says he enjoys working with new and returning customers, and getting to know their personal likes and dislikes.

"It's always fun when a customer is looking to try on a new frame," Steven says. "When you take a little step out of your safe zone, you'll really see yourself differently."
